Radio Scooter International
There are so many ways to get information and enterntainment than ever before. Radio, TV, books, CDs, you name it. It is out there. But there is one way of getting entertainment that is growing by leaps and bounds; internet or "web" radio. I studied radio broadcasting in college, hold a degree in broadcast engineering; and I dreamed in my youth to own a radio station.
Guess what?! I DO!
Back in July, 2005, I decided to take all the years of broadcast training, and my obvious passion for radio and started a station using "Live365". The name was an eas one; I named it for the terrier that sleeps near my feet when I am at the computer, Radio Scooter International.
It was rough going at first; few listeners, and not many broadcast hours. In fact the lack of an audience in September of 2005 nearly caused the station to close. What a foolish move that would of been! Six months later, there was an audience, a 2nd DJ came aboard, then another and so on and so forth. Now, from what was a station with a rough start, we have 9 DJ...no, 10, Scooter has a show!
